This is an immense 8.62 ctw Moissanite halo ring! It’s an absolute dazzler!! It has has real presence and impact on the finger; it's finger-filling, utterly gorgeous, and incredibly sparkly. This ring would make a fabulous engagement ring, or a great right hand, travel ring or cocktail ring. It’s solidly and very substantially set in Sterling Silver. Moissanite is a really interesting gem that was first discovered on a meteorite and was thought to be Diamond. It has a higher refractive index than Diamond (making it sparklier) and is 9.5 on the Mohs scale. Diamonds are 10 and Sapphires are 9, so it’s very hard and very dazzling, perfect for an engagement ring! Natural Moissanites are a very rare mineral, and so most gems used in jewellery today are lab-grown with the exact same chemical composition and structure as one naturally occurring on Earth (or in space!)
