10.29 CTW Moissanite Stud Earrings in Sterling Silver
This is an absolutely stunning pair of statement Moissanite stud earrings! The Moissanites are beautifully dazzling and look incredibly luxe on. They weigh 10.29 carats, and are solidly set in Sterling Silver. The butterfly backs are lovely quality and keep them nice and secure without any drooping (these are big studs!) when worn. Sterling Silver is the whitest and brightest of all precious metals.
Moissanite is a really interesting gem that was first discovered on a meteorite and was thought to be Diamond. It has a higher refractive index than Diamond (making it sparklier) and is 9.5 on the Mohs Hardness Scale. Diamonds are 10 and Sapphires are 9, so it’s very hard and very dazzling, perfect for daily wear. Natural Moissanites are a very rare mineral, and so most gems used in jewellery today are lab-created with the exact same chemical composition and structure as one naturally occurring on Earth (or in space!)
