4.71 CTW Oval Cut Amethyst and Moissanite Earrings in Sterling Silver
These are absolutely stunning Amethyst and Moissanite stud earrings! The oval cut Amethysts are hand cut, and they’re a beautiful pale pinky / lilac colour, nice and fresh for Spring / Summer. The Amethysts are big, they have a total carat weight 4.00 carats, and are surrounded by a dazzling round brilliant cut Moissanite halo, which has a total carat weight of 0.71 carat. These earrings are utterly mesmerising.

Moissanite is a really interesting gem that was first discovered on a meteorite and was thought to be Diamond. It has a higher refractive index than Diamond (making it sparklier) and is 9.5 on the Mohs scale. Diamonds are 10 and Sapphires are 9, so it’s very hard and very dazzling, perfect for an engagement ring! Natural Moissanites are a very rare mineral, and so most gems used in jewellery today are lab-created with the exact same chemical composition and structure as one naturally occurring on Earth (or in space!)
