And this heavy 18ct Yellow Gold band Old Cut three stone is breathtaking. In the pictures it’s in a stunning heavy 18ct yellow gold band, obviously we love all our rings equally, but this one has all our favourite things, old cut diamonds, and heavy 18ct yellow gold.

We highly recommend going for 18ct Yellow with this, as seen in the pics, or maybe 18ct Rose Gold, we have given the option of White and Platinum, honesty, neither Platinum or White gold were a thing when this ring was originally made, so if you want an authentic looking piece, it’s Yellow or Rose. Not to say it wouldn’t look amazing in white metal, it’s gorgeous fat old cuts in decadently heavy precious metal, it’s going to look amazing. The Yellow Gold is just so gorgeous with the old cuts, bezel set seamlessly.

Even the inside of this ring is stunning, the Hallmarks were spot on in this ring, the big old hand stamps that show it was assayed in London pre 1900. Because the chunky hallmarks are such a lovely feature of this ring, even though only you will know, we will aim to recreate them too, and ask the assay office to strike them in the traditional way. Back when the fabulous Old European Cut Diamond originally gained popularity in Naturals in around 1890, these Diamonds would have been big, no expense was spared with the weight of gold, it is made with a decadent amount of gold, and this ring would have been expensive. In this brave new world of Lab Grown Diamonds, this extraordinary ring is now within way more ring budgets.

Lab Grown Diamonds are now widely available in most cuts, rounds, emeralds, oval cuts etc, they’re not, however, widely available in Old Mine and Old European Cuts, and while that can make sourcing them a bit of a challenge, it also means that no one expects to see an Old Cut Lab Grown, so if you want a big ring that no one will think is a Lab Grown, opting for one of the antique cuts is a very good call.
