This vintage Cabochon Cut Pink Tourmaline ring is fabulous, it’s a very contemporary design, but has a sort of ancient feel to it, it’s set in heavy Sterling Silver, with a knife edge ring band, with the bezel in 18ct Yellow Gold which really makes the Pink Tourmaline pop. There is something very cool about this ring. It is stamped with the band Silver / 18ct / and AS - which I assume is the makers mark.
There are some natural inclusions within the Pink Tourmaline which aren't surface breaking and don’t detract from the colour, this ring has an almost Viking feel to it, it’s so simple and has a timeless treasure vibe to it.
All Tourmalines are a unique shade, and this cabochon really is unique and beautiful. Tourmalines are naturally pleochroic, which means they can sometimes show different colours depending on the direction you view them, and this one is just gorgeous, its a very warm deep pink, it’s just lovely and rich and vibrant.
This ring would make a fabulous right hand or even engagement ring, especially for an October baby.
