20.25 CTW Oval Cut Garnet and Moissanite Drop Earrings in Sterling Silver

These are absolutely stunning and very dramatic Garnet and Moissanite drop earrings!  The oval cut Garnets are hand cut, and they’re a beautifully decadent red wine colour. They have a carat weight of approx 6.80 carats each, giving a total Garnet carat weight of 13.65 carats. The stunning rich red Garnet stones are topped by a dazzling round brilliant cut Moissanite, which weigh in at 3.30 carats each. These earrings are utterly mesmerising, and add a pop of rich sultry red colour, and a bucket load of sparkle. These earrings have so much movement, they're beautifully flattering next to the face, these are red carpet ready earrings, and have actually been sported by the fabulous Nicola Coughlan, who you may recognise as Penelope Featherington!

Moissanite is a really interesting gem that was first discovered on a meteorite and was thought to be Diamond. It has a higher refractive index than Diamond (making it sparklier) and is 9.5 on the Mohs scale. Diamonds are 10 and Sapphires are 9, so it’s very hard and very dazzling, perfect for an engagement ring! Natural Moissanites are a very rare mineral, and so most gems used in jewellery today are lab-created with the exact same chemical composition and structure as one naturally occurring on Earth (or in space!)
